A SKYDIVER has tragically died in a horrific accident after his parachute didn’t open fully.
Takashi Koyama, 60, was undertaking a solo jump in Longmont, Colorado, when he was seen hurtling towards the ground.
The experienced skydiver was fully qualified to skydive alone.
The tragic accident took place in a field near Vance Brand Airport, around 3pm on November 16.
Danielle, a witness, said “I thought it looked like a parachute and there were parachutes still coming down.”
She gave CPR to Koyama, but it was ultimately unsuccessful.

Danielle said: “I see skydivers every day, tons of them.”
“I hopped the fence and ran over, called 911 when I noticed it was a person on the ground, and they walked me through CPR until first responders were able to get here.”

Takashi Koyama’s devastated son Shizuka Koyama has paid tribute to a “remarkable man”.
He have started a fundraising page in his honour, to help him pay for his burial.
His mum died two years ago, so she alone is “left to handle everything”.
He said that her dad had “cherished both Japan and America, the lands he called home and loved deeply”.
“His last wish was to be cremated and laid to rest in both countries, a tribute to the life he lived to the fullest.”
He asked for “any support, no matter how small” to “help me fulfil my father’s final wish and ease the weight of these expenses”.
“I am balancing my studies and the responsibilities that come with losing a parent.”
“The costs of cremation, travel, and burial in two countries are far beyond what I can manage alone.”
“Each day brings new challenges and the financial burden has become tremendous.”
He added: “Your kindness will make a real difference in my life and allow me to give my father the farewell he deserves.
“Thank you for considering helping me during this difficult time.”
Boulder County Sheriff’s Office (BSCO) confirmed that they had responded to a call about an unresponsive skydiver in the area.
