The British airline easyJet announced this Tuesday, 25th, a net profit of 494 million pounds (563 million euros) in the fiscal year up to September 30th, 9.3% more than in the previous year.

Driven by the good performance of the holiday division and improved cost efficiency, profit before tax stood at £658m (€750m), up from £602m (€686m) in the previous twelve months, also an increase of 9.3%.

Operating profit in this fiscal year 2024-25 rose to £696 million (€793 million), up 18.2% on the previous financial year, while group revenue reached £10,106 million (€11,549 million), an increase of 8.6%.

The result before taxes, interest, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) was 1,439 million pounds (1,640 million euros), which represents an increase of 5.9%.

easyJet Holidays’ tourism division achieved an annual gross profit of £250 million (€285 million), with 20% more customers than in 2023-24, totaling 3.09 million, thus reaching the interim target ahead of schedule, according to the balance sheet.

In operational terms, easyJet transported 93.4 million passengers, 4.1% more than the previous year’s total of 89.7 million, with occupancy of 89.8%, five tenths more than in 2024.

The seats offered amounted to 104 million (+3.6%).

Easyjet ended the year with 602 million pounds (686 million euros) of net cash, strengthening its financial position, said the company, which indicated that the board will propose a dividend of 100 million pounds (114 million euros), equivalent to 20% of net profit, to be paid in March 2026.

CEO Kenton Jarvis said the airline “continues to successfully execute its strategy” by improving profitability and the customer experience.

“We are well positioned to take advantage of the opportunities and confident of achieving our objective of exceeding £1,000 million (€1,138 million) pre-tax profit in the medium term,” he added.
