A GLAMOROUS female burglar known as “Catwoman” has been caught after allegedly robbing cash and other expensive swag from luxury flats.
Paola Carita Gobel snuck into luxury residential buildings, pretending to live there, said police in São Paulo, Brazil.
Once inside she would take money, jewellery, watches, perfumes and designer handbags from homes.
The notorious “Catwoman” had been caught once already – but when she was released, she used her freedom to repeat her crimes.
The first time the woman also dubbed as “Crime Barbie” was caught was 2023, when she was accused of taking £160,000 worth of goods from a flat.
The dolled-up thief had dyed her hair blonde from red between burglaries, maybe trying to disguise herself.

This time, police say she had rented a flat using personal details stolen from a civil servant.
This was what foiled the latest heist by “Crime Barbie” – the civil servant reported his information being used.
Then, when police raided the flat on November 19 they found drugs and a stolen vehicle in the garage.
“Catwoman” and others gave cops a fake rental contract and she was finally arrested the next day on November 20, with three other men.
The glamorous woman often brought an accomplice during her daring break-ins, but her gang had not yet stolen from the apartment complex where she was found.
One of the group apparently smashed a mobile phone to stop it being seized during the raid.
They had pitched up a few days earlier, arriving with just a few bags and some mattresses and were seen covering their faces while filming other homes.
They had used fake names and got in and out of the building one-at-a-time, pretending that their partner was inside and was meeting them.
Investigators said they sometimes distracted the doorman, with one person waiting in the vehicle while another entered to move stolen items.
Two of the detainees had already been arrested previously for more serious offences, said the police chief.
He added that all the suspects had criminal records for forming a gang and for burglaries and robberies at homes.
Officers are now awaiting forensic analysis to unlock the suspects’ phones and working to find out if more people had entered the luxury homes with the group.
The suspects were booked on charges of criminal association, vehicle identification tampering, intentional receipt of stolen goods, trespass and use of false identities.
